Architect renovates a cement factory and turns it into his epic home

In 1973, Spanish architect, Ricardo Bouillon, purchased an old cement factory, used during the first World War. He called it La fabricate and now it is fully transformed into an incredible, palatial home.

The building is located just outside of Barcelona and required a large amount of deconstruction (and reconstruction) to complete, though technically it is still a work in progress. Vegetation has been placed all over the outside the complex, making it incredibly gorgeous.

I have the impression of living… in a closed universe which protects me from the outside and everyday life” Bofill writes.
